Python Software Engineer

Evidentli is looking for a Software Engineer to join its software engineering team. The role requires experience using Python. (Part time available)

Responsibilities

  • Following TDD (Test-driven-development) and agile methodology

  • Participation in sprint planning meetings, scrum meetings

  • Developing and maintaining software, ensuring its maturity and function are held at a very high standard

  • Work both independently and in a team on various software development activities

  • Write and maintain testing and user documentation
     

Required skills

  • Experience using Python

  • Experience using relational databases (including SQL)

  • Experience developing applications that use RESTful APIs

  • Understanding and respecting data sensitivity and confidentiality

Desired skills

  • Experience using NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)

  • Experience using Docker

  • Experience using version control (e.g. Git)

  • Experience using JavaScript/Nodejs

  • Experience using authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth and CAS

  • Working with a data flow framework such as NiFi, NodeRed and/or Apache Camel

Front-End (UI) Engineer

Evidentli is looking for a UI Engineer to join its software engineering team. The role requires experience working with a modern JavaScript UI web framework. (Part time available)

Responsibilities

  • Following TDD (Test-driven-development) and agile methodology

  • Participation in sprint planning meetings, scrum meetings

  • Developing and maintaining software, ensuring its maturity and function are held at a very high standard

  • Building reusable code and libraries for future use

  • Ensuring fantastic user experiences for clients

Required skills

  • UI development using a modern, JavaScript based, web framework

  • Solid understanding of web markup (HTML5 and CSS3)

  • Experience with Nodejs (including npm/pnpm/yarn)

  • Understanding and respecting data sensitivity and confidentiality

  • Experience developing applications that use RESTful APIs

Desired skills

  • Experience using Reactjs

  • Experience using SASS and/or LESS

  • Experience using Docker

  • Experience using authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth and CAS

  • Experience using Python

  • Experience with version control (e.g. Git)

  • Familiarity with image manipulation software

  • Working with a data flow framework such as NiFi, NodeRed and/or Apache Camel

Medical Data Analyst

Evidentli is looking for a medical data analyst to join its team. The role requires experience working with structured data (primarily EHR data) as well as understanding of issues with unstructured data. (Part time available)

Responsibilities

  • Working with clients on clinical science project, advising on appropriate use of data and analytical methods such as statistical tests, normalisation and machine learning,

  • Working with the software development team to guide data security and integrity and prioritising development of analytic tools, and

  • Mapping clinical data between vocabularies and schemas.

Required skills

  • Excellent command of SQL

  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential data

  • Experience working with medical datasets including medical vocabularies (especially SNOMED-CT)
  • Great communication and team working skills

  • A desire to provide great services

Desired skills

  • Experience interacting with medical data systems such as Cerner Command Language, Cachè

  • Familiarity with HL7, FHIR and/or OMOP standards

  • Familiarity with medical security standards including CFR 21 part 511.C, HIPAA and PSAF

  • Research experience, in particular in medical research

  • Experience using NoSQL such as MongoDB
